“ We just wanted to say a big thank you to all those who turned out on what must have been one of the most wet and miserable days of the year – we were pleasantly surprised to get anyone at all ! Thanks also to those who helped collect controls and to Mike for being available in his coaching capacity. Let’s hope Stanmore is available for some time to come as it is a nice venue and whilst not incredibly technical, and is significantly less than “alpine” in the amount of climb (!), it is certainly suitable for fast sprint running with ample scope for decisions on route choices. Hopefully the weather for the rest of the Summer Series will reflect that title much better ! “
