Routegadget for the WML10 Event at Nesscliffe has been added to our Results/Routegadget pages...have a go at adding your route if you're a real techie add your GPS track (good luck with that). Compare and contrast your route with fellow competitors or just confess your mistakes... you'll feel better after...

Routegadget is now up and running on the website, I have added the club championships as a taster so give it a go and confess your sins/show off and use it as an aid to improvement. Nesscliffe will be next very soon once I have ironed out a few glitches.
Richard.

Choc O 2014!! From Sunday 21st December to 5th January

15/12/2014

LONG IS 18’ish KM                                                                                      SHORT IS 10’ish KM

This year the start will be Little Stretton. There is parking on the roadside near campsite......please park considerately. or at the pub (only by prior arrangement with the pub please !)

1st post at GR
434 918 – 10 paces south of this fence corner (Explorer 217)

At the 1st post (white with red top) there will be a grid reference and description for the next one and so on; one post will give you a choice of long or short eventually leading you to a sack containing goodies. Object being to find the best/most pleasant/scenic/longest/silliest (you get the idea) route around the hill.

You can do this solo, pairs or groups but please treat the Long Mynd with respect – it can bite back so take sensible kit for a few hours up there – hat, waterproof jacket, food, etc. Consider what happens if you twist an ankle and have to stop and limp off the hill – going to get cold very quickly and even if it’s sunny it could still be cold. If I’m teaching you to suck eggs…………….. good as we all need reminding !!

Course opens Sunday 21st December and will be collected in on Monday 5th January – Have fun, Happy Christmas. Clive.

                                            ANY SENSIBLE PROBLEMS – 07875 161265

N.B Image below not necessarily representative of actual goodies supplied and does not form part of an Orienteers recommended five a day.

Its the Club Champs on Sunday the 14th December at the beautiful Attingham Park.

The stags have done their rutting and now its time for the Stags and  Fawns of Wrekin Orienteers to compete for group dominance.

Can Tom Lewis maintain his current Alpha Male status after the birth of Annie Rose (many congratulations Tom and Katie!) , or is it one of the old stags, some injured and showing scars of past battles or indeed a fresh new fawn fastest through the bucolic delights of Lord Berwicks estate......I might have started too early on the Mulled wine here....sorry...talking of mulled wine... refreshments are available after your run so have a great day out..!

These are last years winners...
